H. A. Baldwin Beach Park is a beautiful one mile stretch of white sand, speckled with groups of shade trees that provide plenty of space and privacy, for lounging around in the sun. Shaded trails located behind the tree line are helpful when navigating the full distance of the beach, reaching an end behind Baby Beach. It is recommended to have hard soled shoes or sandals to protect your feet from the long Kaiwe thorns. From late morning into the afternoon the north winds can become quite strong and pick up some sand. Baldwin Beach is also a great beach for swimming, bodyboarding and surfing, but consult lifeguard for daily conditions. Baldwin Beach can have dangerous shore break and strong currents. Dogs are allowed at Baldwin Beach but must be leashed. There is a large field for soccer, baseball, and other sports activities, but no horseshoes, golfing or camping is allowed. The park hours are from 7am-7pm. The facilities include restrooms, showers, water fountains, grills and a pavilion able to accommodate large groups.
H. A. Baldwin Beach Park is located at mile marker 6 on Hana Hwy. The sign for the beach is not very visible from the road. There is plenty of parking in the lot and along the entrance road.
